About Us
Lincolnshire Plant Supports Ltd began not in a garden, but in a workshop—when an engineer was asked by his gardening mother for a better way to support her plants.
It started simply enough. She needed a few hoops and hurdles for her cottage garden, something sturdy, practical, and made to last. Not the flimsy, mass-produced supports she kept finding. So, using engineering know-how and a willingness to experiment, the first handcrafted supports were created. They were strong, elegant, and built with far more care than anything on the market.
Members of the Cottage Garden Society noticed. Soon, what began as a handful of pieces made for one gardener turned into small batches for many. Word travelled from garden to garden, and orders steadily grew—driven entirely by gardeners who appreciated quality, reliability, and good design.
As demand continued to rise, what began as a one-off favour became something bigger. In 2023, after years of refining designs and expanding the range, we officially formed Lincolnshire Plant Supports Ltd, transforming a family request into a proudly British company.
Today, we continue to handcraft plant supports from our base in Lincolnshire, combining engineering precision with garden practicality. Our range now includes hoops, hurdles, cages, peony rings, obelisks, archways, and bespoke structures tailored to individual gardens. Every item is built to stand up to the weather, support growth naturally, and add long-lasting beauty to outdoor spaces.
But at the heart of our business, the story remains unchanged:
It all began with a gardener who asked for something better—and an engineer who couldn’t resist making it.
Whether you’re a home gardener, landscaper, designer, or trade customer, we’re here to support your plants with craftsmanship you can trust.
