A two acre garden with 160 year old tulip, plane and beech trees: borders of shrubs, roses, herbaceous plants. Snowdrops, early bulbs, hellebores in woodland. Shrub roses and herb garden in old paddock area, surrounded by informal borders with pond, bog garden, wildflowers, grasses and bulbs. Small fruit and vegetable garden. Grass and flower meadow. Garden managed environmentally for 35 years.

Ivy Cottage + Mere House - NGS Open Garden
Ivy Cottage - garden has been redesigned and planted over the past three years. The 0.3 acre garden features a summerhouse, patio and mixed borders with a selection of trees, shrubs, roses and perennials giving all year-round interest. A large greenhouse with edible crops and a display of ornamental plants. The productive kitchen garden features raised vegetable beds, herbs and trained fruit.
Mere House - Approx 1½ acres of established garden planted for the first time in 1975, redesigned in 1996, 2011, renewed over the last year. There is also a cutting garden, pleached hedges, vegetable garden and orchard. Work in continual progress includes long herbaceous border and new border for the dryer conditions.
